Grounded and Ready: Chatbots in Academic Publishing

This project proposed and prototyped a chatbot for academic manuscript formatting, designed to reduce author errors and save editorial time. Drawing on grounding strategies (clarification, repair, feedback), the chatbot dynamically supports formatting tasks while reducing breakdowns. The concept shows how linguistics-informed AI can support precision publishing workflows by minimizing ambiguity and increasing efficiency.
