An AI-powered app that helps teams communicate with more empathy and recognition in the workplace.

Overview
Spokn AI was designed to improve workplace well-being by making communication more personal, decision-making more collaborative, and recognition more meaningful. I led the design and prototyping of AI-assisted tools that balance automation with authenticity, helping employees connect on a human level. The project continues to evolve as a functional workplace platform focused on trust, respect, and inclusion.

Process

  1. Research → Conducted surveys and interviews on how AI affects tone, respect, and recognition in communication.

  2. Design → Facilitated co-design sessions to develop tone options, recognition tools, and human-in-the-loop feedback.

  3. Prototype → Built and tested AI communication, decision-making, and feedback modules using Adobe XD.

  4. Evaluate → Ran heuristic reviews and usability tests to refine controls, reduce overload, and support cultural nuance.

 

Outcome
Demonstrated that AI can enhance workplace communication when designed for personalization and autonomy instead of automation. Currently in development as a live app integrating recognition and feedback tools for real organizations.
